sshChat is built around direct SSH access. The app is designed so that SSH connections run between the user’s device and the user’s server. This page explains how the website, support contact, and analytics work, and what data is and is not processed by sshChat.

Controller

  • Controller: Roman Zoun
  • Contact email: sshchat.app@gmail.com
  • This page applies to the website at www.sshchat.app and to support communication related to the app

What sshChat does not store on its own servers

  • SSH session contents
  • Remote server files
  • Command output from the user’s server
  • User server credentials in a remote sshChat cloud backend

How the app works

  • The app connects directly to the server selected by the user
  • Authentication happens against that server
  • sshChat is not a shell proxy service
  • Remote data may still be stored locally on the user’s own device as part of normal app use

Support requests

  • If you email support, your email is received in the normal support inbox
  • You may choose to send device details, screenshots, commands, or error descriptions
  • We use that information only to answer your request, troubleshoot issues, and improve the product

Website analytics

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics is used for general traffic measurement
  • Microsoft Clarity is used only if you explicitly accept it
  • You can change that choice later through Cookie settings

Cloudflare Web Analytics

  • Where applicable, the legal basis is legitimate interests in measuring and improving the website

Microsoft Clarity

  • Used to understand behavior such as time on page, scroll depth, and page usefulness
  • Loaded only after consent
  • Where applicable, the legal basis is your consent

Cookies and consent

  • Clarity is not loaded until you accept it
  • You can decline Clarity and continue to use the website
  • You can reopen Cookie settings later and change your choice

Legal bases

  • Support communication: responding to your request and legitimate interests in handling support
  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: legitimate interests in operating, securing, and improving the website, where applicable
  • Microsoft Clarity: consent

Recipients

  • Email providers used to receive support requests
  • Cloudflare for website delivery and Web Analytics

International transfers

  • Service providers may process personal data outside your home country, including in the United States
  • Where required, these transfers rely on the provider’s contractual and legal transfer mechanisms
  • For more detail, review the provider privacy materials linked below

Retention

  • Support emails are kept only as long as reasonably necessary to respond, follow up, and keep support records
  • Analytics data retention is determined by the relevant provider dashboards and service settings
  • Consent choices are stored in the browser so your choice can be remembered

Your rights

  • You may request access, correction, or deletion of personal data that can be linked to you
  • You may object to processing based on legitimate interests, where applicable
  • You may withdraw consent for Clarity at any time through Cookie settings
  • You may lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority

Important note

  • This policy is intended to explain the current website and support setup in plain language
  • If the product later adds accounts, payments on the web, or more third-party services, this page should be updated
  • If you operate through a registered company, you should also replace the controller details with the full legal business details
